ABOUT THE BELPRE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Belpre Police Department is a 24-hour a day/7 days a week operating department. It consists of 1 chief, 10 sworn civil service officers, 4 dispatchers, and 1 clerk. All of the officers are members of the Fraternal Order of Police through FOP Lodge 69.
Additionally, all officers are certified through the State of Ohio OPOTA (Ohio Police Officer Training Academy) program, where they concentrate on developing or improving skills in various aspects of law enforcement such as firearms, legal administration, human relations, traffic, patrol, first aid, driving, subject control, physical conditioning, investigations, and civil disorder.
