TREE COMMISSION

The Belpre Tree Commission is actively working to increase the number of trees in parks and along streets and boulevards in Belpre. The commission is focused on replenishing the urban tree canopy, which has experienced a significant loss over the past several years. The Mayor of Belpre, Susan Abdella, is a key contact for those seeking more information about the commission’s efforts and initiatives. The commission holds regular meetings, which are open to the public, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Belpre City Building conference room at 11:30 am. This presents an opportunity for community members to engage with the commission and contribute to the city’s tree canopy efforts.

Civitan Park, located at 1500 Blennerhassett Ave, is the largest park in Belpre, featuring a bandstand, picnic shelters, walking tracks, little league baseball fields, high school and pony league baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, an updated swimming pool, and river boating access.
