To all media outlets:

The City of Belpre will begin flushing hydrants in the City of Belpre Public Water System Starting July 20th, 2026 from 8:00am to 12:00 am.



Hydrant flushing will begin:



Zone 1 Monday (July, 20th)

1100-1400 block of Putnam Howe Dr. going north to railroad tracks covering Oaktree Ln, Ohio

Ave., Knotts Ct., Roselawn Ave., Moody Ave., Putnam Place, Society Manner, and King St.



Putnam Howe south to the north side of Washington Blvd, Putnam Howe east to Campus Drive to

Maple St and from Maple Street going west to the intersection of Washington Blvd (north side) and Putnam Howe Dr. This area includes the high school. 200-600 block of Stone Rd, 700Blk and 1100 block of 3rd St, 700-800 and 1100-1200 Blk of 4th St, 700-800 Blk of 5th St, 700 block of 6th St, Dana Drive, 200 to 600 block of Lee St., Wyatt Lane, Lockwood St, and Pride Ct.



200-300 Block of Elm Street and the 200 Block of Walnut Street.



Southside of Washington Blvd. at Tuttle St going east to the southside of Washington Blvd. at Walnut

Street and to the river. This area covers all roads south of Washington Blvd to the river between

George Street Ext and Walnut Street to include areas south of Blennerhassett Ave such as Scott Ave,

Parkersburg Ave, and John Street.



* Zone 2 Tuesday (July, 21st)

600 to 1200 block of Clement Ave, North to Congress to Calder Ridge/ Way Rd intersection, Going east covering everything from the northside of the railroad tracks/Bridge to the south side of SR7/US32 to the River. This includes but not limited to Warren Ave, Leonard Ave., Pomeroy Pike, Depot St, Wirt St, Barclay St, Elm St, Walnut St, Main St (all main street and side streets), Florence St (All of Florence Street and side streets), North on SR 7 to include 1st Ln, ORION, Joe Skinner Rd, Camelot Rd, Ayers Blvd,

and Skyline Steel.

*Zone 3 Wednesday (July, 22nd)

Starting at Franklin Ave, going west to Middle Street between the railroad tracks and SR 7. This area includes Hocking Rd, Poplar St, Boulevard Dr, Belrock Ave, Rockland Ave and all the side streets connecting to these roads. This area also includes the Belpre Elementary School and the Administration

Building.



We will also be flushing on the North side of SR 7 covering Braun Rd including 1400-1900 block of Hill St and all the side streets joining Hill St. White Oak Street, Pine Street, and Cherry Tree Drive.



*Zone 4 (July, 23rd)

Starting On Belrock Ave on the south side of the railroad tracks and north of Putnam Howe Dr. and Washington Blvd, working west to Sycamore St. From Sycamore St. we will be doing from the southside of the railroad tracks to the river west to Farson St and Penny Ct.



We will also be flushing from Middle St to Farson on the north side of the tracks. This are will also include the northside of the four-lane. This area includes 2100 to 2300 block of Hill St, 2300-2400 block of Richmiller Ave, 900 Mary St., 700-1100 blocks of Farson St, 2500 block of Bellview ST, 2500 block of Parkview Dr, 2500 block of Valleyview Dr.



*Zone 5 (July, 24th)

Starting on the West side of Farson Street going west to Drag Strip Rd. (Twp Rd 97) to include Donna Dr, Mead Street, Victor Street, Underwood Dr, Thomas Ct, Thomas St, Julies Ln, Phillip St, Riverview Dr, Frame Dr, Beach Dr., Circle Dr, and Drag Strip Rd.



If we run into issues and cannot finish a section on the night scheduled, we will start where we left off on the following Day.



During the times we are flushing you may notice pressure loss and Discolored water. If you have discolored water, please turn on your cold faucet (Preferably in your bathtub) and let it run for 5 to 10 minutes or until the water clears up.



For verification you may call the City Building at 740-423-7592 between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 PM.
